Challenge
Sydney International Airport, facing the dual objectives of enhancing traveller experience
and increasing per-traveller revenue, identified an opportunity within the
telecommunications sector. As the gateway for 50 million travellers per year, the airport
recognised the need for a seamless, cost-effective connectivity solution that could cater to
the modern international traveller's demand for uninterrupted global connectivity.
The challenge was to integrate a solution that appealed to travellers, but to also open a
new revenue stream for the airport, enabling them to capitalise on the growing trend of
eSIMs.
Data roaming can be expensive. Rather than accept this on behalf of the millions of travellers who board flights through Sydney Airport, we wanted to provide our customers with a viable solution: tripsim, fast, reliable and affordable data eSIM plans covering over 150 countries worldwide.

Solution
To meet this challenge, an e-commerce integration with Breeze’s supplier was developed,
utilising the power of Shopify. This platform was meticulously designed to provide a
seamless purchasing experience for tripsim eSIMs, offering travellers an easy and intuitive
way to ensure connectivity in over 150 countries.
The solution was tailored to fit within the airport's existing digital infrastructure,
allowing travellers to purchase and manage their eSIMs directly from their smartphones. Key
features included real-time updates and comprehensive support through a dedicated tripsim
Help Center.
By making tripsim eSIMs readily available, the airport created a hassle-free solution for
travellers to secure reliable and affordable data plans before their journeys, enhancing
their overall travel experience.
